Case: Haven – a new digital platform for premium bathroom furniture

Haven is a Swedish brand within the Tapwell Group, offering exclusive bathroom furniture with a focus on design, quality, and flexibility. Ahead of the summer of 2024, Haven needed to quickly launch a new website – both to showcase its growing product range and to give customers the opportunity to design their dream bathrooms using an online configurator.

The Challenge: Fast Launch with Complex Functionality

Since its launch in 2019, Haven has quickly established itself as a design-driven bathroom brand. Ahead of summer 2024, they needed a scalable digital platform to meet new markets and customer demands. The project began under a tough timeline—only four months from start to launch.

In addition to a clean and inspiring product website, Haven also required a configurator capable of handling thousands of possible combinations of colors, materials, and add-ons. At the same time, the solution had to be flexible enough to support future assortments, new markets, and evolving customer needs.

As a young brand with a rapidly developing product range, it was also essential to build a technical platform that could adapt and grow over time.

 

The Solution: Headless Architecture and Seamless Integration

To meet both the time pressure and future requirements, we chose Litium Commerce Cloud as the e-commerce platform, combined with React Accelerator as the headless frontend. This provided several advantages:

  • Flexibility: Content and functionality can be further developed without affecting the entire site.
  • Fast development: The headless architecture enabled parallel work across development, design, and content.
  • Scalability: New markets and language versions can easily be launched.

We implemented a smooth integration with the Jeeves ERP, ensuring product data is always accurate and up to date. The configurator was built to automatically retrieve data from the PIM system, giving Haven full control over how products are displayed and combined.

Since the initial launch of haven.se, we have also rolled out localized websites for Denmark, Norway, and an international version—made possible by the flexibility of the headless setup.

 

The Result: A Living Product Website That Supports the Brand

The result is a sleek, informative, and future-proof product website that reflects Haven’s design philosophy. The advanced configurator makes it easy for customers to visualize their bathroom furniture and explore different combinations before making a purchase.

Thanks to close collaboration with Haven’s team and a clear technical strategy, we delivered the entire project in just four months—from concept to launch. After the launch, we continue to develop new features and adaptations as Haven expands its assortment and reaches new markets.

 

Learnings and Next Steps

This project highlights the power of a headless setup combined with close client collaboration. As Haven expands or their product range evolves, we can quickly update the configurator and website without rebuilding everything from scratch.

We also saw the importance of a flexible requirements process when time is short: initially focusing on immediate needs, we built a strong foundation that we now continuously improve and refine. This approach gives the client a fully functional system from day one, while allowing us to develop the solution step by step.
