From kick-off to launch in four months: Haven's new product site on Litium

Haven, a Swedish design brand within the Tapwell Group, asked us to build a completely new digital platform for premium bathroom furniture – with a configurator that lets customers design their dream bathroom themselves and then easily get in touch with a retailer. Using Litium Commerce Cloud and a headless frontend built on React Accelerator, we went from kick-off to launch in four months. The result: a fast, elegant and scalable product website that has since been rolled out in Denmark, Norway and an international version.

About Haven – design-led bathroom furniture from the Tapwell Group

Haven was founded in 2019 and has quickly established itself as a design-led brand in premium bathroom furniture. The focus is on design, quality and flexibility – customers should be able to combine colours, materials and options into a solution that fits their own bathroom.

As a young brand with a rapidly evolving range, Haven needed a digital platform that both presents its products in an inspiring way and can grow alongside its assortment, markets and customer needs.

The challenge: A fast launch with complex functionality

Ahead of summer 2024, Haven needed a new website – fast. Partly to present a growing range, partly to let customers create their bathroom furniture directly on the site. At the same time, the platform had to be ready for new markets.

This was not just about getting an attractive product site live. The configurator is at the heart of how Haven sells, and the solution had to be built to change over time without everything having to be rebuilt.

Four months from kick-off to launch

The timeline was tight: from project start to launch there were just four months. That called for a technical strategy that allowed development, design and content to work in parallel – and a requirements process that prioritised what was needed at launch over what could be built later.

A configurator with thousands of combinations

Beyond a clean and inspiring product site, Haven needed a configurator that handles thousands of possible combinations of colours, materials and options. It had to be easy for customers to use, give Haven full control over how products are displayed and combined, and be flexible enough to take on new products without extensive development work.

The solution: Headless architecture on Litium with seamless integration

To meet both the time pressure and future requirements, we chose Litium Commerce Cloud as the e-commerce platform combined with React Accelerator as a headless frontend. The setup gave us three clear advantages:

  • Flexibility: content and features can be developed further without affecting the entire site.
  • Fast development: the headless architecture allowed development, design and content to work in parallel.
  • Scalability: new markets and language versions can be launched easily.

We built a smooth integration with the Jeeves ERP system that keeps product data up to date and accurate at all times. The configurator automatically pulls its data from the PIM system, giving Haven full control over how products are displayed and combined – without needing to involve developers for every change to the range.

The result: A living product site built to grow

Haven now has a clean, informative and future-proof product site that reflects the brand's design philosophy. The configurator makes it easy for customers to visualise their bathroom furniture and try different combinations before buying. The entire project was delivered in four months – from idea to launch – thanks to close dialogue with Haven's team and a clear technical strategy.

From haven.se to Denmark, Norway and an international version

Since the initial launch of haven.se, we have rolled out the website for Denmark, Norway and an international version. That was possible precisely because of the headless setup we chose from the start: new markets and language versions are added on top of the same platform without rebuilding the foundation.

A configurator that evolves with the range

When Haven expands or the range changes, we can quickly update the configurator and the site without starting from scratch. Product data flows from Jeeves and the PIM, so new products and combinations can be made available without extensive development effort.

Flexible requirements work that delivered a working system from day one

The project showed the value of a flexible requirements process when time is short. We initially focused on existing needs and built a foundation that we then gradually improve and refine. Haven had a working system from day one at launch, and we continue to develop the solution step by step. Since launch, the collaboration continues with new features and adaptations as Haven reaches more markets.

A platform that grows with the brand.

We are extremely pleased with our new website for Haven! It was a time-sensitive project with delivery scheduled in the middle of summer, but Rove met the deadline and enabled us to launch on time. With the new website, we can offer our customers a rich buying experience, including a configurator that allows them to customise their bathroom furniture from thousands of possible variations. Rove has demonstrated both a deep understanding of our business and strong technical expertise. I can highly recommend them!

Litium provided a stable e-commerce foundation with PIM and content in the same platform, while React Accelerator as a headless frontend made it possible to build a tailored configurator and launch quickly.

No. haven.se is a product site, not an online store. Customers get inspired, configure their bathroom furniture and are then guided to a retailer through clear contact paths on the site.

The customer chooses colours, materials and options and immediately sees what the bathroom furniture looks like. The configurator pulls its data automatically from the PIM system, so Haven controls which products are displayed and how they can be combined.

Through the integration with the Jeeves ERP system. Product data is synced to the platform so that the range and information are always accurate across all markets.

Through parallel work between development, design and content, a requirements process that prioritised launch needs, and close dialogue with Haven's team throughout the project.

Yes. The site is already live in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and an international version, and more markets can be added in the same way.

Frontend and backend are separated. Haven can develop content, design and features without affecting the entire site, and new markets or language versions can be launched on top of the same platform.
